Ella is THREE

This blog is a TAD late...but ONLY because we have been so busy preparing for a STELLAR Circus Birthday for both of the kiddos!! We can't wait. But, on May 30th our oldest munchkin turned THREE! I can't believe how fast it has gone!
Here are a few snaps of our fun day...

Ella opened up her presents and saw a new BARBIE CAR!!!!

She wanted to show off her new Snow White and Princess Tiana Pollies. Those are her favorite thanks to her favorite cousins...they got her HOOKED!

And finishing up on our NEW PLAYSET!!!!! Grandma and Papou got Ella and Tyler a new playset for their birthdays. We are so excited!!!! There will be a blog to follow on the progress of the playset! It was quite interesting putting it all together!!

It was a fantastic day!!!! I can't believe our little girl is now THREE. What a blessing you have been for us Ella. We hope you had a GREAT birthday!!!

Softball...and heartbreak :(

A recap of our weekend...

We made the 8.5 hour car ride to Ann Arbor, MI to watch our little sister, Maggie finish off her softball career.  We didn't know it would be the end of her career when we headed up that way, but I can honestly say that I couldn't be more proud of her!!! The weekend didn't go as we thought, but I am still so honored to be her sister and proud of her accomplishments as a young woman and athlete!!

First the boys played some golf and I gladly watched the cute kiddos!

After golf we went to game #1! Here are Ella and Little Meade hanging out together

The next day the rest of the family arrived!!! We got to hang out before the game! The kids played at the farm...Ella was in HEAVEN with her favorite cousins!

The HEAT was intense at the game...especially in the outfield bleachers. The kids stayed cool under the umbrella...while Miss Sophie tried to catch a catnap on mommy!!

It was truly a heartbreaking event.  I wasn't ready for Maggie to be done playing ball...who knows, maybe she won't be!?! But, she did go out with a bang...Big 10 Player of the Year!! And my favorite player of ALL time. Congrats on a wonderful career Maggie!!!

Dear Blog...

Dear Blog,

I am sorry I have abandoned you. Please forgive me as I am SO busy. Busy planning a birthday party...busy with report cards...switching schools yet AGAIN...teacher requisitions...grocery shopping...busy with a broken washine machine...and mountains of dishes...and the kid's playset...and the world's LONGEST to do list! 

BUSY being a M O M. Which I love. So...sorry if you are put on the back burner. I will get back to you soon.  June 1st and SUMMER can't get here soon enough!

COUNTDOWN...

The countdown has TOTALLY begun.  If there are any other teachers out there you know what I'm talking about. 11...MORE...DAYS...UNTIL...SUMMER...BREAK!!!!!

We have Birthday Parties...pool time...more Birthday Parties...4th of July...concerts...and RELAXING.
Unlike last Summer with a NEWBORN!!!

 Now we have an ALMOST 3 year old...and an ALMOST 1 year old...TIME FLIES!!!

NEW CAMERA

I am OBSESSED...it's official! I can't get enough of my new camera. Hubby got me the Canon Rebel for Mother's Day and I truly don't know how I have lived without it.
I have taken SO many pictures over the past week it's AMAZING!

I have taken some pictures of our flowers in the front yard...pictures of Ella smelling the flowers when we got them inside.

Tyler was an excellent model as well!

Issues...

We had an interesting event on Tuesday night. Ella was in the tub, and Tyler was in the tub. Both kids were all scrubbed down and we just had HAIR left to wash. When the inevitable happened...Tyler POOPED in the tub. At first I just smelled it...but then I saw the floaters.
I was DYING laughing. What else can you do? So I immediately drained the tub and removed the floaters. Scrubbed the tub and filled the bath back up and tried again. Ella could not stop laughing and Tyler looked so proud of what he had done!!!
I did snap a few pictures (of the kids laughing) I wanted no evidence of what was IN my tub that evening!! However the above picture is from the night before...he still looks guilty though right??

Now, I am about to leave town for 2 days and I need to do laundry...OF COURSE our washing machine would go out when I need to do a few loads...NOT to mention that Ella LITERALLY has ONE pair of undies left. Thank goodness the repair man could stop by this morning to take a little look. The washer is only 2.5 years old...we really shouldn't be having these issues already right?? I hope not. So, if it doesn't get fixed...I guess it's old school handwashing for me tonight :) Wish me luck!
